- The U.S. Embassy Maputo is recruiting one Finance Clerk Intern
- All qualified Mozambican students who meet the education requirements below
- Work Hours: Part-time; 20 hours/week
- Salary: Unpaid Internship
- Length of Hire: February 5, 2024 – August 5, 2024 (6 months)
- The incumbent serves as the Clerk for the Financial Management Office staff and is responsible
for assisting in facilitating the organization of the work flow of the office by receiving and
recording invoices and other documents coming in the FMO Office, tracking and filing
documents, physically and electronically, maintaining electronic files of Contracts, BPAs,
Leases and other official documents in use in the FMO office, claiming VAT reimbursement
requests from the Host Government, keeping the FMO Officer agenda. Main Timekeeper and
POC for T&A preparation and timely submission as well as for any payroll issues
- The incumbent is also responsible for the maintenance of the Financial Management Office’s
SharePoint page
Duties
- Assist with recording invoices
- Tracking and filing records
- Maintain the FMO SharePoint page
Requisites
- Language: English (Level 3) and Portuguese (Level 4) (Write, Speak, Listen). (This will be
tested)
- Education: Completion of 3rd year of university degree in Business Administration,
Management, Finance or Accounting OR completion of 3 year “Curso Tecnico Comercial” is
Required
- Experience: Not required
