CONTACT is recruiting a Flights Coordinator, to be based in Pemba, Mozambique.
Duties
- Reporting to Aviation Superintendent, the main activities of the job include: to be conversant/comply with Mozambique Legislation; to adhere at all times to the values and principles of the company code of conduct; be conversant/comply with company rules, procedures and instructions
- Ensure full compliance with SOX standards with respect to system security and reporting; to promote, implement and/or supervise the necessary preventive and corrections action to ensure safety of personnel, protection of the environment and assets integrity in his domain of activities in line with national regulation, international guidelines and TEPMA1 HSE requirements; to promote safe and responsible work culture and an injury-free work environment
- Promptly report all unsafe behavior and/or act related to the aviation operations and passenger transit using primarly MySafety4All application; to help enforcing the stop card principle; with concerned transport team(s), coordinate passengers arrival, departure from/to airport for smooth, timely and safe transit; with air operators’ representative(s) and ground team: supervise the personnel check-in, boarding and disembarking operations at the airport (manifesting of PAX and cargo, boarding passes provision and troubleshooting)
- Ensure 100% data accuracy between DaWinci and manifest(s) used by air operator(s); report to Aviation Superintendent any deviation on services performance due to air operator(s) or 3rd party; act as DaWinci primary focal point on site to assist personnel with profile creation and/or update to meet TEPMA1 requirements; act as DaWinci super-user
- Consolidate day-to-day booking requests with Aviation Superintendent following arbitration with Site Director/Manager and Logistics team in Maputo; implement decisions wrt. number of flights, legs and changes to the flight schedule
- Communicate initial flight schedule, disseminate revision to flight schedule if/when required; ensure timely release of the final PAX and cargo manifests
- Ensure that all flights are closed on due time; assist the Aviation Superintendent: optimization of the aircraft utilization (7 days operations fixed and rotary wings rolling planning); keep up-to-date the KPIs database – ensure timely delivery and accuracy of the weekly/monthly/quarterly and yearly reporting; act as focal point for the air operator’s reporting on the assigned airport; keep up-to-date a digital “dossier” in which all air operators’ personnel licenses, important communication or materials and training certificates are saved; the management of irregularities (AOG, delays) and operational consequences in relation with other services (i.e General Services)
- Whenever required, contribute into the TEPMA1 operational procedure developments, applications and improvements; carry out any other activities as may be assigned by Site Management with approval from his Line Manager
Requisites
- A degree in a relevant area
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Oil & Gas Upstream Industry and/or Aviation activities
- Previous experience in air operator operations, capability to produce procedures, manual and studies
- Proven experience in a multi-cultural context
- Experience of relationship with air operators, airport services, airport authorities
- Knowledge of the Oil & Energy's sector aviation referential
- Basic knowledge O&G aviation standards (IOGP) and ICAO & EASA regulation, IQSMS system Knowledge or equivalent
- Good command of English and Portuguese (as a plus)
- Being an advanced MS Office user
- Having rigor, a good sense of organization and the ability to anticipate
