ADPP is recruiting a Grant Administrator, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- The Grant Administrator will work with different teams and project staff ensure that agreements for all grants are adhered to
- These teams include ADPP’s Program Department, Financial Department and the project leaders of the projects
- Managing and administering all health related project Grants with efficiency to ensure that all donor requirements are being adhered to
- Develops and maintains, a health grants calendar for all grants which provides a total overview of all grants, with all deadlines for deliverables from the Grant Administrator
- Coordinates and produces quality reports that are handed in according to agreed donor deadlines
- Securing contracts with Sub-partners and the communication related to their deliverables including narrative and financial reporting
- Keep an archive with documentation for each grant (digitally and printed)
- Ensure baseline studies and the external/internal evaluations of the projects are delivered to high standards
- Ensure that the Project Leaders of the projects are well informed about the M&E plan for each partnership
- Monitors and verifies the project results
- Secure and organize the Project’s collection of case stories and evidences of the implementation
- Ongoing monitoring of grant budgets and expenditures to ensure targets are met.
- Ongoing monitoring of grant program goals and monthly performance
- For some of the grants, participate in coordination meetings with the donors
- Perform any other duties, as necessary
Requisites
- The ability to learn quickly and develop an understanding of ADPP Mozambique’s mission, development approach in relation to the partners approach
- Management and leadership skills to administer a number of Grants
- Proven track record in grant writing including but not limited
- Excellent writing skills in English and Portuguese.
- Be a good organizer and planner
- Proven track record in grant writing fornational and international partners like the UN, USAID, USDA, EU and Global Fund with at least 5 years proven experience in administrating grants
- Previous M&E experiences
- Knowledge of grants and grant administration systems, processes and budgeting
- Previous project management of health projects (especially HIV and AIDS, TB, Nutrition and Sexual and Reproductive Health) is of an advantage
- The ability to work under time pressure and when necessary after hours
- The ability to collaborate with many people and enjoy to be part of a team
- Have a sincere interest and commitment to development issues in a rights based approach
- Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying
- Some knowledge and experience in gender sensitive programme will be an advantage
