Head of Procurement

Heading is recruiting a Head of Procurement, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• This person will be responsible for all exploration and management activities, liaison with suppliers and other partners. To set the best procurement practices regarding products, prices, the entire import/ export process, procurement, warehouse and logistics
• Will aslo be responsible for the provision of professional expertise and at the forefront regarding the implementation and development of procurement

Requisites

• Work Experience Minimum of 8 years in the area of procurement and 5 years in the Head of Procurement position in FMCG sector (preferential)
• Fluent in either English or Portuguese. Both is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of the commodities market, import and export procedures and exemption requests
• Knowledge of accounting and finance
• A good technical appreciation of the range of procurement categories
• Good IT skills to include wide experience of word documents, Excel, PowerPoint and knowledge of Primavera software [recommendable]
• Excellent organizational skills
• Budgeting, costing, cost saving and knowledge of risk management
