Aldelia is recruiting a HSE & Emergency Management Manager(m/f), to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
Duties
- Effectively maintain and ensure compliance to the Health, Safety Environment & Emergency Management (HSE) Management Plans
- Champion the company’s critical hazard management standards to ensure all critical risks are identified and effectively controlled
- Establish and maintain an effective workforce health and safety committee, where representatives are trained, competent and appointed
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to the committee at all times
- Champion the company Operations and Projects Risk Register review to ensure risks are adequately identified and controlled
- Lead the HSEEM audit process, support company and Projects Management Team to address all non-compliances in a timely manner and report findings as part of the HSS reporting process
- Champion the company operations and projects fitness for work and fatigue and mental health management programs
- Manage the health, environment, and emergency services providers, ensuring compliance to contractual requirements and service provisions
- Ensure all elements of the company operations and projects health strategy are satisfied to ensure the business maintain a stable and productive workforce
- Ensure optimal emergency response capabilities exist at the company operations and projects at all times commensurate with operational requirements
- Champion the company operations and projects injury management process and support the company management team and key contract partners to comply with all associated requirements on an ongoing basis
- Champion the incident management process and support the company management team and key contract partners to comply with all associated requirements on an ongoing basis
- Responsible for company operations and projects has performance reports, maintaining has records, analysing trends, managing non-compliance and keeping key stakeholders informed at all times
- Remain abreast of key industry/regulatory developments at all times
- Champion the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS-ISO) 45001 2018 (ISO) framework
- Work cohesively with the environmental teams to ensure a fit for purpose intergraded HSEEM Management System aligned to the ISO framework
Requisites
- Education: Engineering degree minimum and tertiary level education in health, safety, environment or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in Frontline HSE Mining or heavy industry
- Skills required: Investigation Training Qualifications – Taproot, ICAM or equivalent
- Proven exposure to IMS of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards systems and processes
- NEBOSH International Diploma
- Occupational Safety and Health Management, General Certificate and or SAMTRAC plus Environmental Engineering
- Advanced Certificate in Mine Emergency Response and critical Rescue Operations
- Language: Fluent in English and Portuguese
