Internship / Health Analytics

Description

• ThinkWell is an emerging health systems development organization; While our core area of work is health financing, we take a health systems approach and provide support to human resources for health, health information systems, private sector engagement, and research and evaluation; We look for a Mozambican intern to be based in our Maputo office to work on an array of analytical projects
• The successful candidate will have strong analysis skills, and have a strong desire to learn and contribute as part of multiple teams within the organization; This is an opportunity for the right person to develop strong communication skills and gain experience working independently and on global teams across the organization

Duties

• The intern will support the portfolio of our projects with the following tasks:
• Support projects with data handling, clean-up and analysis
• Support the design, piloting, and finalization of various data visualizations
• Participate in and support the drafting of notes, cases studies, and reports
• Perform administrative tasks (planning and coordination) as necessary

Requisites

• Master’s degree or Master’s student in a health and/or analysis related fiel; Bachelor’s degree or student will be considered for exceptional candidates
• Fluent command of English; Working proficiency in another language is an asset
• Strong analytical, research, and synthesizing skills
• Strong communication skills including excellent writing and editing skills
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
