Laboratory Advisors (Public Health Specialist)

Description

• The U.S. Mission in Maputo/Mozambique is seeking two (2) eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Laboratory Advisor (Public Health Specialist) within the office of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

Duties

• Job holder serves as a senior scientific and technical advisor to agency officials, Ministry of Health, implementing partners and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the planning and strengthening of laboratory programs and activities in Mozambique
• Responsibilities include program development, monitoring, reporting and close collaboration with partners to ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with program objectives and internationally recognized best practices
• Incumbent is expected to work with partners and stakeholders, including host government ministries, International Organizations (IO) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) involved in treatment of HIV/AIDS and related diseases in country
