Twigg Exploration & Mining is recruiting a Maintenance Planner, to be based in Balama, Mozambique.
Duties
- This role is responsible for contributing to the implementation and maintenance of the asset & maintenance systems and procedures required for the Balama Operations Plant including – Preventative Maintenance Systems, Asset Management, contributing to the Shutdown Programs, Continuous Improvement, Spares & Parts Management, Contractor Management & Engagement, Budgeting and Risk Management planning
- Implementation of the Planned Shutdowns
- Manage shutdowns in-line with the production plan
- Support the project with technical planning expertise, asset and maintenance management system development and design during the construction and commissioning phases to ensure critical maintenance considerations are met
- Work closely with the Infrastructure/Fixed Plant Planner to ensure integrated planning and efficient execution and control of work for the Balama processing operation
- Work closely with the Infrastructure/Fixed Plant Planner to achieve the KPIs for plant availability, Mean Time Between Failure, Mean Time to Repair and costs
- Help to develop and maintain the maintenance strategies and tactics for the processing facility to achieve the KPIs and Company objectives
- Carry out the weekly planning duties as per the Maintenance Planning Processes and other duties outlined the planning process flows
- Help to establish, implement and monitor both process plant asset and maintenance performance metrics and proactively identify areas for improvement
- Support the Operation by: Minimising delays through rapid response to breakdown events
- Continually monitor the condition of the plant and readily address all issues
- Ensure that all process critical instrumentation is prioritised for planned and breakdown maintenance
- Actively and positively contribute in the commissioning & ramp-up of the Process Plant
- Manage documentation and records to support all maintenance planning activities and operations
Requisites
- Degree in Engineering discipline or relevant industry qualification, Trade qualification mechanical/electrical
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferably in the mining industry
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing preventative & shutdown maintenance strategies in a processing environment
- Proven exposure to maintenance systems and processes
