Twigg Exploration & Mining, is recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor, to be based in Distrito de Balama - Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
Duties
- Support the project with technical execution expertise, to ensure critical maintenance considerations are met
- Ensure efficient execution and control of Maintenance work for the Balama Processing Operation
- Work closely with the Maintenance Superintendent to achieve the KPIs for plant availability and costs
- Contribute to the development of the preventative asset and maintenance strategy in line with company objectives
- Monitor both process plant asset and maintenance performance metrics and proactively identify areas for improvement
- Provide ongoing reporting and data analysis in relation to the condition of the processing facility
- Contribute to the weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly production planning process
- Preparation and contribution to the budgeting process as a part of the maintenance team in relation to parts, consumables and maintenance costs
- Actively and positively contribute in the commissioning & ramp-up of the Process Plant
- Implement and comply with the HSE Policies, procedures and standards applicable to the Balama Operation
- Establish a culture of working safely within the Balama Operations and contribute to the achievement of the Balama Operations KPIs for HSE
- Report all incidents, health anomalies and workplace health hazards via the approved Incident and Hazard Reporting procedures
- Undertake daily work area inspections and report/rectify faults/issues immediately
- Continually monitor the plant environment to ensure the safety of yourself and other workers
- Make improvement recommendations to the Senior Team & continually increase the level of safety in the plant and other associated facilities
- Lead weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and planning for the Maintenance Team
- Comply with the Company’s Environmental Social Monitoring Program Management Plan and Health Safety Management Plan requirements at all times
- Coach and mentor all team members to build capability across the maintenance workforce
- Ensure own and teams’ behaviour is aligned with Company Values at all times
- Liaise with contractor personnel to ensure appropriate safe operations and professionalism
- Manage direct employees work performance as per the Syrah Resources Work Performance System
- Manage the training and professional development of your Maintenance Team
- Assist in the development of an internal audit program for Balama Operations maintenance work, Develop and drive a culture of continuous improvement within the Maintenance Team, Contribute to Monthly and quarterly reporting for continuous improvement projects
Requisites
- Trade qualification Mechanical/Electrical
- Minimum of 05 years maintenance supervisory experience in mineral processing/heavy industry Flotation/Milling/Filtration experience highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing preventative & shutdown maintenance strategies in a processing environment
- Proven exposure to maintenance systems and processes – Pronto experience essential
- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proactiveness and proven capacity to think conceptually and make assertive decisions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members
- Plant start-up and commissioning experience highly desirable
- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and competing deadlines
- Sound computer proficiency with intermediate MS Office skills
- Knowledge of fixed plant control systems, PLC's and HMI
- Contractor management experience highly desirable
