Aldelia is recruiting an ORA Specialist Production (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Ensure cross functional integration of technical activities and disciplines
- Provide inputs and support to develop an appropriate OR&A plan. And support the project to achieve production deliverables in the OR&A plan
- Support with monitoring/fault finding, optimization and crisis management using the remote operator station
- Enable remote emergency response support using the remote operator station
- Support the optimization and performance function with Group OSC initiatives such as OEE, OWAP, loss prevention and energy efficiency
- Responsible to ensure design integrity by providing production operations inputs into brownfield and
- Greenfield projects (ITFR, engineering reviews, commissioning support and operations readiness before start-up)
- Support other functions with managing (register/update) master data (functional locations, equipment hierarchies, strategies, maintenance plans, bills of material, etc.) for all equipment
- Participate, provide input and review the operations philosophy as well as the operability and maintainability studies for projects
- Provide operations input into projects by also participating in project risk assessment, PDA/HAZID/HAZOP studies and design reviews
- Provide input to the development of commissioning and start-up procedures and participate in commissioning activities
- Coordinate and conduct operations readiness assessment and assurance activities. Track and resolve open items
- Assess and track the implementation of spares, materials and services required for operations that includes cataloguing, setup replenishment and establish long term contracts with suppliers
- Assist with implementation of best practices from Sasol group/vendors/insurance engineers’ recommendations and best practice bulletins
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance process safety and asset integrity to ensure safe, reliable and sustainable operations
- Ensure the relevant GSO specifications and existing best practices are expanded on or incorporated in all new projects (i.e. flange management, Inspection One, etc.)
- Provide assurance to the designated OR&A representative that all production related requirements are met before start-up
- Where required assist with commissioning production deliverables
- Manage production technical queries from the engineering contractors (EPCM) by obtaining stakeholder agreement on scope changes and best solutions to address the queries
- Review and submit EOJ documents and ensure the latest information is transferred to SOP’s and training material
- Identify, quantify, assess and mitigate production reliability risks
- Support with monthly reporting, development of roadmap for initiatives and attend group forums such as the energy efficiency CoP
- Ensure cost effective facilities start-up by ensuring that all production related OR&A deliverables are achieved at RFO. (seamless start-up saves money)
- Through a continues improvement mind-set diligently be on the lookout to identify, quantify and implement cost savings and productivity opportunities
- Assist with implementation of best practices from Sasol group/vendors/insurance engineers’ recommendations and best practice bulletins
- Identify optimization opportunities to enhance process safety, operations reporting, adherence to production plan and stretched targets based on customer requirements
- Assist and coach production colleagues at the CPF on ways to improve operations performance, turnaround planning, execution management and production planning for maintenance
Requisites
- Grade 12 mathematics and science or NQF 4 qualification
- Experienced and qualified senior production controller
