Contact is recruiting a Personnel Transport Coordinator, to be based in Pemba, Mozambique.
Duties
- Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the main activities of the function are to oversee all activities linked to on-site personnel transport operations, as well as inspection and maintenance of the vehicles (including swap or replacement of vehicles…); driver daily management and training; HSE and Logistics reporting; acts as focal point for site wrt. transport arrangement within DUAT or for any journeys outside DUAT
- Prepare journey management plan and other documents prior any journey (documentation to be signed by security and HSE site representatives
- Participate in hazard identification, risk assessment related to road safety
- Ensure that mitigation measures identified are implemented before/during the journey
- Reports anomalies or issues on due time using tool(s) implemented by company (Safety4All but not limited to)
- Assign driver(s) and vehicles and inform end-user(s) about final arrangement
- Works with HSE and Logistics Representative to ensure drivers: are familiar with site environment via site induction and ad-hoc trainings/inductions (if relevant), comply with labor regulation wrt. driver working hours, meet health and safety requirements, are up to date wrt. training requirement/program, adhesion to company core values/goals set wrt. road safety; that all drivers compliant with minimum age/experience and defensive driving requirements from company rule – no incident due to driver’s behavior or unsafe act; review IVMS system alerts, behaviors shown by drivers after each journey
- Reports non-compliance events and proposes corrective and mitigation measures in action plan in collaboration with site representatives and management in Maputo
- Maintain highest safety standard and driving behavior to prevent accident or incident related to driving; acts as site representative for logistics department
- Will oversee all inspection, maintenance, and other operations on vehicles by contractors (installation of dashcams, IVMS device, driving monitoring system etc.) and will ensure conformity with purchase request/purchase order set of requirements from company guidelines, policies, and international standard (IOGP or equivalent)
- Track, record all fuel deliveries using company´s cards (outside DUAT) or equivalent (inside DUAT); oversee, witness and/or inspect each vehicle after body/mechanical/electrical repairs or modifications and sign job work sheets Submitted by contractor(s); record all activities, upload relevant forms, documents in department share point; updates internal reporting files, database, or tools
Requisites
- High School diploma – General education
- At least a 5-year experience in car fleet operations or transportation coordination role (in Oil and Gas Industry will be an advantage)
- Experience in team management (3 years minimum)
- Good English and communication skills
- Knowledge of national, regional transportation laws, regulations
- Knowledge on Road transportation international standards (cargo, dangerous goods and personnel transportation)
- Holder of a valid driver's license – ideally as professional driver
