Plant Manager

Heading Mozambique is searching for a Client from Food Production Industry, for Plant Manager to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• The incumbent will be responsible for all activities related to the management of the plant, such as production, maintenance, distribution and working conditions of their workers
• Monitor and supervise financial management of the Fee Mill (cost management, annual budget, operational costs and others)
• Team supervision including temporary workers
• Monitor the production equipment, assuring its standards operations
• Implement and maintain quality parameters of the production process
• Assure the implementation of process, procedures and others regarding HST and HACCP
• Implement and assure the usage of protection and hygiene equipment
• Implement the production plan aligned with production strategy
• Elaborate daily, weekly and monthly production plans
• Assure operational efficiency (production process, HR, Financial and material resources)
• Assure product safety and plant hygiene and general cleaning
• Participate in the purchase of production ingredients and raw materials
• Ensure compliance of the management system in which is integrated
• Perform other tasks or activities not specified above, whenever deemed necessary to further the objectives of the company and the Group

Requisites

• Degree in Management / Business Management or other relevant field
• 10 years of experience in feed production
• Management experience in Industrial Units
• Strong knowledge of production process (product, process and packaging)
• Knowledge of Health and Safety for Consumer Goods
• Knowledge of SOP (Standard Operation Procedures)
• Good knowledge of equipment maintenance
• Proficient computer user with Primavera knowledge (desirable)
• Fluent in English or Portuguese language (both is an advantage)
• High financial skills
• Good communication skills and interpersonal relations
• High ability of planning and organization
• Troubleshooting and analysis capabilities
• Leadership skills
• Good working relationship with suppliers and customers
