Feed the Future Value Chain is recruiting a Portfolio Manager, to be based in Nampula, Mozambique.
Duties
- Contribute to the development of the vision and strategy of each intervention
- Support the Value Chain Manager and the Chief of Party to lead the technical implementation of specific project activities
- Identify, design, and oversee the implementation of partnerships with intervention’s partners (e.g., private sector, government, NGOs)
- Lead the development of intervention concept notes
- Lead in defining, drafting, and negotiating Deal Notes with intervention partners, including due diligence
- Systematically gather information and evidence on the project’s impact under the guidance of the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
- Contribute to the preparation of field inputs to the quarterly and annual reports as required by the program
- Contribute to establishing a team culture grounded in collaboration, openness, and learning
Requisites
- Master’s degree in an Agriculture, Economics or a Business related field
- At least three years of experience as the technical manager for donor-funded value chain, Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) and/or Market Systems Development projects
- Demonstrated success using facilitation in at least one of the following: USAID value chain approach, M4P, or Market Systems Development, which led to greater competitiveness and inclusiveness in markets
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English
- Demonstrated experience with conducting value chain analysis and developing value chain work plans is preferred
