DAI is recruiting a Portfolio Manager for Economic Governance (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- The Portfolio Manager (PM) for Economic Governance will lead and manage the Economic Governance Component, focusing on achievement of reforms for strengthened economic governance, which will include strategic technical work, relationship management, and developing/implementing the SPEED Economic Governance work plan
- The PM for Economic Governance will be supported by a Portfolio Coordinator (PC), who will provide support for component administration, managing consultants/subcontracts/grants and monitoring, evaluation and learning data collection and reporting
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required (advanced degree preferred)
- 10+ years’ of relevant professional experience and networks in Economic Governance, policy analysis and advocacy, public financial management and private sector enabling environment
- Proven experience working with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), including but not limited to business associations, women’s groups, cultural institutions, professional/labor associations, and other non-governmental organizations who advocate for transparency and good governance in Mozambique
- Ability to effectively manage and deliver technical assistance on time and within budget
- Experience working on USAID-funded projects is preferred
- Ability to respond effectively to time sensitive demands & inquiries
- Excellent organizational skills with a willingness to take initiative
- Ability to speak in public and lead formal meetings with high-level government officials
- Competency in the English language, both spoken and written
