Post Security Technician

US Embassy is recruiting a Post Security Technician, to be based in Maputo.

Duties

• Conduct inspection, installation, maintenance and repair of security and life-saving equipment at post, to include residences, workshops and warehouses
• Assess security systems state of repair and recommend changes in maintenance schedules and techniques to enhance operational effectiveness

Requisites

• Completion of high school
• Two years of technician experience is required working in at least two of the following categories: adjusting and repairing electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment is required
• Two years of high school and four years of
• technician experience in two of the above named categories).
• Level III (good working knowledge) English and Portuguese (speaking /reading/written is required
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams of electrical/mechanical drawings, and the ability to use electronic test equipment, email, and Microsoft office products is required
• A valid Mozambique driving license is required
