Premises Engineer

Duties

• Draws and implement premises projects
• Draws up engineering documents (designs and bills of quantities) for engineering projects using approved formats
• Contributes to the analysis of the security, water and habitat, and cultural environment relevant to the ICRC and proposes adapted interventions
• Analyses and apply proper passive security
• Monitors project implementation for compliance
• In collaboration with regional team, acts as the Electrical Safety Program focal person
• Supervises small numbers of contractors working on project sites
• Conducts quality control of infrastructure installed by the ICRC
• Promote internally good practices related to electrical safety
• Prepares implementation and progress reports
• Manages project purchasing on labour and materials according to the delegation's financial rules, ensuring proper and efficient use of resources
• Supervises the maintenance team in charge of premises and infrastructure
• Uses results-based management to evaluate project implementation
• Ensures necessary administrative work is implemented on time as well as a good quality of work

Requisites

• University degree or advanced technical certificate or equivalent
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Computer proficiency
• Good negotiation skills
• Confirmed management skills
• Valid driver’s license
• 3-4 years’ experience in the same field of activity
