CONTACT is recruiting a Process Optimizer Coordinator, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Reporting to the Planning and Control Supervisor and the Social Performance Vice President, the main activities of the function are to monitor monthly community socioeconomic impact expenditure plan per project/program/ unit
- Developing short- and medium-term expenditure plans per project and contract; managing the institutional memory of the community's socioeconomic impact expenditure plan
- Developing and implementing lean methodology; capturing bottlenecks, improvement opportunities, and lessons learned related to the socio-economic expenditure; elaborating the annual community socioeconomic impact budget with key internal and external stakeholders
- Implementing budgeting planning and control processes, ensuring compliance with company guidelines; implementing REC to PAY planning and control processes, ensuring compliance with company guidelines
- Implementing contract management frameworks within community socio-economic impact initiatives in a cross-functional environment
- Conducting contract inspections and corrective action monitoring; standardizing and monitoring REC to PAY processes across all functions within the cross-cutting functions
- Developing scopes of work for consulting and technical services related to community socio-economic impact programs, ensuring alignment with company guidelines
- Assisting with REC to PAY external audit findings and ensuring corrective actions are deployed and executed
- Assisting with the recoverable cost of expenditure and providing adequate reports
- Reviewing supplier's reports and guiding to achieve objectives established in the Scope of Work
- Implementing continuous improvement based on Lean methodology in cross-cutting functions to integrate areas and processes; keeping the institutional memory stored and updated
Requisites
- Degree and post-degree in economics, business management, finance, account, and audit
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing REC to pay process using Lean methodology with a minimum of 2 years in the extractive industry
- Exposure to the audit processes
- Required using SAP integrated with Microsoft Office and Project
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Full engagement with the Lean Methodology approach to improving operational performance
- Dominion of Lean Methodology in Extractive Industry
- Full engagement with Social License to Operate and Shared Value Concepts in the Extractive Industry
- Ability to engage, coordinate and lead cross-cutting teams
- Ability to use data and database software effectively and creatively to meet specific goals
- Ability to work without constant supervision
