Aldelia is recruiting a Process Plant Engineer (m/f), to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
Duties
- Demonstrate high commitment to safety and ensure strong compliance to Safety and
Environmental management system by shift teams
- Ensure Safety and Environmental incidents are Immediately reported, immediately controlled, and appropriately escalated to relevant Superintendents & Engineer
- Drive the site equipment, people, and processes to maximize production
- Monitor and control all plant parameters to achieve required throughput, recovery, and product quality
- Coordinate real time plant feed rate and ore quality with plant shift team
- Ensure equipment is operated within defined operating strategies and procedures
- Ensure high utilization of the plant
- Controlling material movement, HEMM allocation and its monitoring and reporting
- Execute daily operating instructions issued by Shift engineer
- Active involvement in major plant shutdowns, maintenance activities and start-ups
- Direct the shift maintenance Mechanics on maintenance priority and troubleshoot the bottlenecks
- Provide performance feedback to Shift engineers and to other shift teams
- Always be contactable when on shift and be able to report detailed plant performance status
- Conduct detailed handovers
- Provide detailed shift performance reports
Requisites
- Recently graduated in Mineral, Chemistry or in Mechanical Engineering
- Qualified Evaluator and Assessor
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to speak English fluently
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A self-starter with excellent leadership skills
- Ability to thrive in a broad, multi-national team with a mix of cultures and backgrounds
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Ability to manage a team and possess skills for conflict resolution and problem solving
- Highly energetic and disciplined
- Strong sense of responsibility and leadership
- Excellent computer skills including use of MS-Office and use of web applications
