- Program Description: The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN), Maputo through its Strengthening Food Systems and FNS in Beira Corridor program has given funding to Technoserve Mozambique for a regional food and nutrition security program (Manguana) for the period of 2023-2027. Agriculture is a critical pillar of the Mozambican economy, employing over 80% of the rural population and contributing to 25% of the national GDP. Small and medium farms account for 95% of agricultural production. Nonetheless, productivity is low for the majority of food crops. The project will complement other investments and coordinate with other programs in this sector to address productivity barriers in the Beira Corridor to improve FNS by increasing productivity, incomes, and jobs
- Specifically, the program seeks:
- Increased sustainable productivity and income for small-scale food producers
- Increased mobilization of capital for a competitive local agricultural industry
- Increased capacity of key stakeholder institutions
- Improved policy and legal/regulatory enabling environment

- Job Summary: The Project Administrator will report directly to the Program Manager, and will provide high-level administrative support and assistance. The Project Administrator is expected to be self-sufficient and proactive but will be supported by the Country Senior Human Resources Manager in Maputo. The Project Administrator will be based in Chimoio, with possible field travel
Duties
- Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the Program Performs office and administrative tasks, including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents for senior staff
- Arranges travel and accommodations for the team
- Schedules and attends meetings, taking notes and recording minutes
- Prepares the meetings and facilitates the delivery of files during the deadline
- Performs clerical tasks, including record keeping, ordering supplies, and basic bookkeeping
- Facilitates the reception, routing, and monitoring of processes sent to the financial department for payment and updating the remitters on the status of the processes
- Preparation of requisitions, analysis of quotations, and respective follow-up on orders
- Logistical support to the program's field team, printing materials for mobilization, recruitment, training (manuals), and graduations (certificates), coordinating transportation for the field team, and sending credit (megabytes) to the beneficiaries of the training
- Support in the tasks of the gender groups help in the organization of gender awareness events, either from the team or from partners
- Work with project team members to identify alternatives for cost reduction and efficient use of project financial and material resources
- Performs other related tasks as assigned
Requisites
- Basic Qualifications and Skills:
- At least a degree in business administration, business management, economics, statistics, or international development, or relevant academic background or at least 2 years of field and technical experience (in a similar position)
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing gender equality
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Experience in building strong relationships with partners
- Ability to generate innovative solutions
- Fluent in English, fluency in local languages will be an advantage
- Experience in the socio-economic context of the northern region will be an advantage
- Curious, creative, innovative, energetic, flexible, proactive, excellent team player and individual contributor, self-motivated and motivator of others
- Knowledge of essential donor compliance requirements (EKN) is an advantage
