Heading is recruiting a Program Associate - Monitoring and Evaluation, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
- Heading is searching for a Programm Associate - Monitoring and Evaluation for an NGO that's dedicated to scale up obestretic fistula prevention and treatment
Duties
- Provide programmatic and technical guidance in M&E and the documentation of lessons learned
- Participate in training and orientation on the DHIS2 data management platform
- Use information derived from program activities to inform service delivery and future activities of the country office
- Regularly provide information on progress towards targets and assist supported site staff to use data for decision making to improve services
- Coordinate with MoH to strengthen HMIS systems and use of data regarding fistula at facility and district level
- Ensure lessons learned and potential best practices are well documented and disseminated, and contribute to developing strategies to replicate them in the country, region and globally
- Participate in training, program, and dissemination activities and country, region and international meetings
- Keep abreast of groundbreaking work in maternal and reproductive health that is relevant to the Organization and disseminate new knowledge to staff and partners
Requisites
- Advanced graduate degree in public health or a related field such as epidemiology, demography, or biostatistics highly desirable
- Five years’ experience in M&E in international health projects, preferably in maternal/reproductive health
- Experience providing using data for planning and decision making in program or clinical services
- Experience of USAID-funded projects preferred
- Experience working on evaluation studies and/or operations/implementation research preferred
- Excellent analytical and M&E skills required
- Excellent computer skills, with particular knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word in addition to statistical applications (e.g. SPSS, Stata, Epi Info) required
- knowledge of qualitative software packages desirable
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and teamwork skills required
- Excellent writing and communication skills and abilities required, including ability to write high-level reports to management, donors, and partners
- Excellent English reading, writing, and speaking skills required
- Technical knowledge in maternal and/or reproductive health preferred
