Aldelia is recruiting a Project Services (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Primarily responsible for the development and detail of projects scope in consultation with the appropriate Project Manager. Development of the WBS in conjunction with the project team
- Determine project objectives and contribute to the development of a
Comprehensive project plan, working with clients, vendors and the TEOP team
- Outline project requirements and assign tasks for the team
- Responsible for the administration and control of budgeting and cost management related to individual projects in consultation with the project team
- Interface with the Procurement, Engineering and Finance Departments to develop and maintain a detailed cost control systemic alignment with the CBS and EPPMS
- Regularly perform analytical reviews and checks of cost reporting documentation, and present cost status and forecast updates to the Project Management and client
- Establish a schedule for the project and monitor its progress
- Routinely analyze, evaluate, and forecast the current project status against the baseline schedule, assessing the impacts of design or construction changes to the schedule
- Report the status of schedule to PMO management, and where appropriate the client
- Coordinate all work on the project, ensuring that objectives are met within budget
- Conduct site visits, where necessary to verify progress and identify any potential and critical issues
- Work with the teams to recommend recovery plans and update the schedule and budget accordingly
- Provide PMO support across projects and programs using agreed
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure processes are followed, data is accurate, and reporting is available per agreed timetables
- Identify areas for process improvement within the EPPMS and proactively work with others to agree and implement suggested changes
Requisites
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project or Programme Management or a related field
- Work experience in a Project Management environment
- Working towards PMP qualification
- Exposure to the Natural Resources or Energy Services sector
- Experience working with project management plans (PMP) and plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E)
- Experience with ERP system a plus and Project Management/PMO knowledge/awareness
- Project Cost Management, analytical and problem-solving
- Fluent in Portuguese & English, written & spoken
- Well-organized and able to work with deadlines
- Able to maintain a holistic view of a project whilst working on small details of multiple projects
- Ability to develop and maintain detailed schedules, ensure adherence to quality standards and maintain policies and procedures
- Strong cost reporting skills and techniques
- Experience in the identification, monitoring and reporting of project risks
- Ability to develop and update schedules, create reports and provide analysis using Microsoft Project/Primavera
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office software)
- Multitasking: proactivity, timely negotiation skills, calm under pressure, detail-oriented approach to work, planning skills and proven track record working with it systems
