Proposal Development Consultant (m/f)

Description

• Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Mozambique works with people in poverty and distress to create justice and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action. ADRA is searching for Proposal Development Consultant to be based in Maputo office. She/He will plan and coordinate the development of the Proposal writing to ADRA team and in general support ADRA in the prioritization of future intervention areas and strategies countrywide
• General overview: ADRA anticipates to make various proposals during the month of October to December to various donors (stand-alone proposals and in consortium). The proposal writing will be for various donors, ADRA network, UN Agencies , ECHO, USAID, EU and any other donors that may require proposal submission within the indicated 3 months period
• Among specific roles, the Proposal Development Consultant will undertake:
• Support the planning and project resources: he/she will provide support to the MEAL Team and Budgeting Team in planning and resource allocation (what resources are needed, estimating time, as well as provide inputs to the MEAL system)

Duties

• Lead the proposal writing and all the assessments to be carried out
• Mapping partners and setting up meetings with Partners
• Setting up meetings and participating meeting with Donors and ADRA support office
• Lead the BDU team in a specific proposal writing
• Create a plan for proposal development, coordinate and track the progress of the plan

Requisites

• Master degree or higher in a relevant field Social Science, Business Management and any other development projects
• Experience working USAID, WFP, UNICEF and ECHO project implementation
• Experience in Coordination with other partners and consortium and added advantage
• Donor Liaison and experience in USAID, WFP, UNICEF and ECHO policies
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with communities
• At least 5 years of experience in proposal writing with USAID, WFP, UNICEF or ECHO as an advantage
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Experience as a proposal designer is an advantage
• Critical thinking and problem solving
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
• Languages Required: English
