US Embassy is recruiting a Public Health Project (DREAMS) Coordinator, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Job holder provides technical expertise and coordination for the DREAMS (Determined Resilient Empowered AIDS Free, Mentored, Safe) program within the context of in-country HIV/AIDS programs supported through the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)
- Job holder collaborates with U.S. team colleagues, host country Ministry of Health and other HIV/AIDS implementing partners in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the DREAMS initiative in Mozambique
- These activities are all geared toward preventing HIV infection in adolescent girls and young women
- The job holder will be critical in Planning and carrying out tasks, resolving problems and conflicts, and in taking steps necessary to meet deadlines and providing technical expertise in HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment, and in particular, orphans and vulnerable children programming, as well as gender and prevention programming
- The Job holder is supervised by the Deputy PEPFAR Coordinator
Requisites
- A minimum of Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in social work, sociology, anthropology, public health, public administration, epidemiology, social or behavior science is required
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in international development and/or project management in one or both of the following fields: community-based health; ducation programs focused on children and/or adolescents
- Level III English (fluency in speaking, reading and writing) is required
- Level III Portuguese (fluency in speaking, reading and writing) is required
