Reliability Engineer (m/f)

Duties

• Reporting to the Reliability Engineering Superintendent, the Reliability Engineer is responsible for all aspects of fixed-plant reliability engineering activities, including Loss Prevention/Elimination, Risk Management & Life Cycle Asset Management
• Work to develop and maintain a strong safety culture within the Maintenance Engineering Department and Operations Team
• Work closely with the Maintenance Engineering Superintendent to achieve the KPIs for plant availability and costs
• Help to develop and maintain the maintenance and engineering strategy for the processing facility to achieve the KPIs and Company objectives
• Support the Operation by providing accurate reporting on equipment life predictions
• Contribute to and help develop quality and accurate Planned Shutdowns
• Assist in the development and management of an internal audit program for the Maintenance Engineering Team’s work
• Coach and mentor all team members to build capability across the Balama workforce

Requisites

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience – must have exposure to large scale mineral processing equipment, with flotation, milling & filtration experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience in Condition Monitoring, Non Destructive Testing & Vibration Analysis
• Demonstrated experience contributing to and executing preventative & shutdown maintenance strategies in a processing environment
• Proven exposure to maintenance systems and processes
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
• Proactiveness and proven capacity to think conceptually and make assertive decisions
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members
• Plant optimization and commissioning experience highly desirable
• Sound computer proficiency with strong MS Office and ERP system skills
• Contractor management experience highly desirable
