- The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is driven by the vision of a world without malnutrition. GAIN is a Swiss based international organization that mobilizes public-private partnerships and provides financial and technical support to deliver nutritious foods to those people most at risk of malnutrition
- The organization is delivering improved nutrition to an estimated 700 million people in more than 30 countries, half of whom are women and children. GAIN is promoting a wide range of nutrition programs, including large-scale food fortification and targeted programs reaching out to the most nutritionally vulnerable groups, notably the 1000-day window from conception to 2 years of age, as well as programs integrating Agriculture & Nutrition opportunities to enhance nutritional quality of agricultural commodities and value chains

- About 1 Minuto de Nutrição (TV&RADIO) – MNUTRITION (SMS) 2017 Campaing
- 1 Minuto de Nutrição tv and radio spots and MNUTRITION voice and SMS messages are communication tools launched in 2017 by the Minister of Health and Gain
- These projects are integrated in the National SBCC strategy launched in 2016, with GAIN´s support and entails clear objectives for how the Ministry of Health wants to achieve social, communication and behavioral changes on general nutrition practices in Mozambique
- 1 Minuto de Nutrição (TV&RADIO)
- The 1 Minuto de Nutrição project disseminates 08 tv and radio spots, with the minimum of 60 seconds, messages relates with breastfeeding practices, complementary feeding and family recipes
- MNUTRITION (SMS)
- The mNutrition project, disseminates 50 voice messages and 150 SMS messages on children's health and nutrition, children born up to 24 months of age, through the mobile telephony platform 84321, using four languages: Portuguese, Changana and Emakwa
Scope of Work
- The aim of this Request for Proposal (RfP) is to develop a Post Campaign Evaluation Assessment to 1
- Minuto de Nutrição (Tv&Radio) and mNutrition (SMS) 2017 campaigns
- Specifically, the Request for Proposal is intended to evaluate the following topics:
- Messages Recall: Message take out - easily identify the main message
- Message take out – those who recall, do they retain the right message
- Recall Quality – how accurate or vague is the message recall
- Messages Format: Comparison between this format and others to evaluate shifts of interest
- Interest Value – how effective is the message to engage audience in to action
- Information Value – how easy is the main message identified and understood
- Talk value – evaluate the intention to discuss or pass along the information
- Media: Target audience media usage – is this media and placement best suitable for target audience:
- Mothers of children from 0 to 59 months
- Family (father, mother & mother in law)
- Activist
- Health Promotor
- Brand: Brand linkage – relevance of sponsors presence in the spot (logo and punch line)
- Brand Equity - evaluate the captivity and interests level by the graphics and audio brand elements presentation
Duties
- Propose the Methodology and Design Research Tools:
- Propose the research methodology
- Design the questionnaires and present the information capture tools
- Define Sample:
- Create the sample study for 1 Minuto de Nutrição based on viewers/listeners acquainted and non-acquainted with the spots
- Create the sample study for mNutrition sample should include: 84321 users and non-users
- Segment the sample into the following groups:
- Mothers of children from 0 to 59 months
- Family (father, mother & mother in law)
- Activist
- Health Promotor
- Exactify the sample in Urban and Peri-urban, national representative
- Conduct post campaign evaluation
- Present report and results
Deliverables
- Present the Research Tools for Gain approval
- Deliver the Report draft for Gain Comments
- Deliver the Final Report
Time Frame
- The anticipated timeframe for this project is forty-five (45) days including design proposal (layout suggestion), Financial and Execution timeline, training guideline, company documentation. Final deliverables should be presented by 15 May 2018
Budget
- This is a competitive process, the winning bid will be determined on bid will be determined on the basis of price and quality of the proposal. Please provide a budget broken down by individual components
