Capital Outsourcing Group Mozambique is hiring a Safety Officer for Temane, in the Inhambane province.
Duties
- Provide the leadership and support necessary to contribute towards efficient Health, Safety, Environmental and Security (HSES) management
- The main aims being to create secure, safe and healthy working conditions throughout the site and protect the environment during both construction and commissioning operations
- Be aware of and communicate to all site personnel the contents of the HSES Procedures and ensure that the associated HSES plans are understood and implemented
- Ensure that the Resident Site Manager is kept up to date on HSES performance and assist him in HSES reviews
- Prepare the worksite HSES plan in conjunction with the Resident Site Manager and assist the Chief Field Engineer in carrying out the HAZCON risk assessment process
- Carry out as often as necessary (minimum every second day) HSES inspections of the total site and temporary facilities
Requisites
- National Diploma in Safety Management
- Experience in the Construction Industry
- Fluent in both Portuguese and English
- Mozambique Nationals will be given preference
