Senior Accountant (m/f)

Duties

• Establishes relationships with financial and non-governmental institutions for the funding of the Company
• Ensures compliance with financial policies and procedures within the company
• Reviews and monitors of rules and regulations applicable to taxes and dues
• Conducts financial and statistical analysis of performance as well as budget control
• Manages and Reviews financial reports, financial planning and analysis
• Advises the Organization with regard to financial matters
• Evaluates all insurance requirements of the Airline and its personnel and purchases such insurance to the best advantage of the Airline
• Manages the appraisal and explanation of budget variances and the preparation of various reports
• Administers operating and financial statistical information and reports with government agencies internally, as well as with international organizations and foreign government agencies
• Manages the preparation of all types of the financial statements and reports showing operating results and financial conditions of the airline
• Ensures that all accounting transactions within the division are in accordance with policies and procedures and company records fairly reflect current status
• Directs the appraisal of the financial impact on the corporation of proposed levels of operation, schedule changes, flight equipment acquisitions, proposed contracts, tariff changes or changes in operating policies
• Recommends policies and procedures with respect to treasury activities
• Maintenance and custody of Enterprise’s funds, securities and any other financial investments
• Administers Cash and Currency Management, banking relationships, obtaining finance, credit management, Insurance, taxes and fuel
• Gives guidance and assistances over the general and cost accounting matter
• Establishes relationships with financial and non-governmental institutions for the funding of the Company
• Oversees the preparation and compilation of the annual budget of the corporation and serves as a member of the operating expense, property and equipment budget committee with the Chief Executive Officer
• Ensures implementation of the airline safety & security policy and procedures by reporting deviations to safety or security offices as appropriate As Mozambique Airlines Brand Ambassador, you are responsible to promote and adhere to the Brand Guidelines
• Performs other special assignments that may be given from time to time by the supervisor

Requisites

• Minimum of BA Degree in Accounting of 3 years of experience in airlines Finance or related areas
• Fluency in written English is Mandatory
