Total is recruiting a Senior Communications Advisor (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties
- Understand the broad political, social and media environment to identify communications opportunities as well as reputational risks and advise Project leadership accordingly
- Drafting speeches, articles, newsletters and web copy and other communications material
- Develop and implement issue-specific communications plans as required
- Test and refine the Project’s key messages as appropriate
- Lead a review of the Project website to ensure it is accessible and usable and that content is consistent with the Project’s communications objectives and narrative
- Following the website review, take responsibility for regular review and updating of web content
- Helping to develop, edit and design organizational communications documents and material
- Represent the Project at external events as required
Requisites
- University-level degree in communications, journalism or other relevant field
- Minimum ten years relevant professional experience
- Experience in the energy and resources sector preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English required (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently to carry out tasks to a high professional standard
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
