Senior Estimator

Capital Outsourcing is recruiting a Senior Estimator, to be based in Maputo.

Duties

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements, and setting priorities
• Prepares construction budget by studying plans
• Updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each concern undertaking
• Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements
• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials
• Identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price
• Maintains cost keys and price database by updating information
• Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards
• Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications
• Establishing personal networks
• Participating in professional societies
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requisites

• Can analyze data , develop budgets, establish vendor relationship, strong reporting skills, with estimation expertise, very decisive, can work in a team environment, with documentation skills and has focus on quality of work done
• Must have at least twelve (12) years hands-on work experience in the field of construction, and exposed to roads, civil and building works
• Must have at least 5 years as an Estimator/ Senior estimator
• Preferably with a Mozambican national
• Knowledge of both English and Portuguese, (written and spoken )
• Strong knowledge of computer packages CCS Candy
