Aldelia is recruiting a Senior Instrument and Control Engineer (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Develop and maintain critical competency and guide talent development of team members
- Pilot and test relevant technology to improve the company’s operations by maximizing availability and production outputs
- Obsolescence and risk-based asset management planning
- Manage the relationship with internal and external service providers applicable to function/discipline
- Develop and maintain work standards and ensure it is met according to quality, quantity and due dates
- Develop, maintain and manage the discipline specific systems, tools, policies and procedures for the execution of projects
- Ensure adherence and compliance to the company’s safety system and culture
- Manage subordinates to have job specific knowledge in all areas of process control, process automation systems and instrumentation including critical control information infrastructure by ensuring correct competencies are available
- Manage subordinates to have expert knowledge on area specific equipment like e.g. transmitters and control valves to be able to maximize availability and production outputs
- Ensure good working relationship with all stake holders especially with instrumentation and control fraternity as well as plant production and maintenance personnel
- Liaise with external engineering companies to share in knowledge and benchmark
- Translate project team strategy into team working model
- Plan resources against short- and long-term objectives
- Manage the service contracts in the budget applicable to function being managed
- Pilot and test plant modifications executed correctly with high quality
- Ensure new plant construction design quality within budget, schedule and risk profile
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, policies and standards
- Manage of discipline specific project risks
- Ensure quality control of delivered services
- Ensure governance regarding proposed modifications
- Drive initiatives which improves delivery and competitiveness
- Interpret and translate business requirements into an engineering strategy to enable OME to safely meet production targets
- Translate OME project team strategy into team working model
- Manage and develop people in the team
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and innovation
- Ensure personal development plans are completed, implemented and tracked within applicable career path
- Notify/inform of changes in resourcing needs
- Be responsible for own performance management
- Report on budget utilization, forecasting and changes
- Ensure teams safety objectives and required training is completed
- Provide efficient and high-quality services to stakeholders
- Oversee the management of external service providers
Requisites
- University Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 8+ relevant years
