PRI is recruiting a Senior Project Planner, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Develop, maintain and control the project construction Primavera P6 schedule, in close consultation with the project construction team and Project Manager
- Run the weekly schedule update regime including reviewing and validating schedules and changing resource requirements and change reporting
- Run the 3-6 month look-ahead forecast regime, including reviewing and validating schedules and resource requirements
- Establish and monitor the quarterly and project target baselines to ensure success and stability of the forecasted schedule
- Perform Critical Path analysis and suggest mitigation strategies, where necessary, to the Construction Team/Project Manager
- Monitor current rate of productivity/progress and implement effective controls to monitor this
- Collate and report Program Metrics and Reports
- Review and manage project Milestones in consultation with the Project Managers and ensure key project milestones are met or risks mitigated
- Proactively manage Project Risk and Schedule Risk in consultation with the Construction Team/Project Manager
- Review and comment on subcontractor programmes as part of tenders or at an operation level
- Delivering value by integration, planning, coordination, reduction of risk and innovation through collaborative and integrated working and value management processes
- Provide practical technical advice and assistance to other staff, within area of responsibility, in relation to sound construction practices
- Ensure relevant documents are understood and relayed clearly to team
Requisites
- A degree in qualifications in Civil Engineering in Construction Management or Mechanical
- At least 5 year of experience as a project manager
- Good communication skills and easiness to working with in a team
- Knowledge of management software, Primavera P6 is an advantage
- Fluent in English
