Aldelia is recruiting a Senior Well Testing Engineer (m/f), to be based in Inhambane, Mozambique.
Duties
- Ensures SHE requirements are integral to all aspects of well testing and well intervention activities
- Contributes to delivering operational SHE performance
- Responsible for testing design and operational planning in Mozambique’s onshore operations (Temane, Pande, Inhassoro, PT5C)
- Responsible for all Coiled Tubing operations (clean-up, lifting, data gathering, etc.)
- Responsible for all subsequent work to be carried out on the hot tapped wells in Mozambique
- Provides operational programs which account for and dictate best SHE practice
- Lead by example during field visits and foster a solid SHE culture
- Ensures that all testing, intervention and coiled tubing activities comply with company standards and governmental regulations
- Overall responsibility for optimizing testing, well test intervention, well test planning, costing and operations for one or more work streams
- Provides completions input to team and well engineering delivery objectives as necessary
- Ensures that all work within the area of responsibility is adequately documented and lessons learned are captured for the benefit of future SEPI operations worldwide
- Ensure well material and service providers comply with specified quality assurance requirements
- Liaise with sub-surface personnel to ensure reservoir requirements are delivered
- Train all Engineers in Training (EiTs) passing through his area of responsibility in a cultural sensible and friendly manner
- Build effective relationships and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders and service companies
- Assist in the management of the service contracts and contractor performance processes
- Owns and manages the Well Testing Contract
- Owns and manages the Coiled Tubing and N2 Services Contract
- Owns and manages the Hot-Tapping and Well Remediation Services Contract
- Helps in generating tenders and processing results
- Provide on-time well testing services which represent best industry practice
- Provides technical expertise/input with respect to the ‘Rig/Well Test’ portion of the Slickline services contract
- Assists London based Planning Team as required to ensure planned Well Test, Coiled Tubing, N2 and Slickline Services as well as Equipment is ‘fit-for-purpose’ and is available at the required time
- Liaises with SASOL and Service Provider Field Supervisors as required to ensure operations are planned and executed in a safe, environmentally acceptable and cost effective manner
- Provides specialist technical and operational support and supervision during Well Test, Coiled Tubing, N2, Slickline and Hot Tap operations to ensure specific program objectives are met
Requisites
- +15 years overall experience in Oil and Gas production operations activities
- The role will require preparation of technical reports and presenting recommendations at all levels within the organization
