Structural Mechanical Piping Supervisor

PRI is recruiting a Structural Mechanical Piping Supervisor, to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.

Duties

• Ensure safe workplace, identifying and addressing risks appropriately and demonstrating positive safety behaviour
• Carry out all work in a safe manner ensuring the safety and wellbeing of yourself, other employees, contractors and visitors
• Report all incidents and hazards and complete reports as necessary
• Ensure visual presence in the field completing Audits, Inspections, safety reviews with the Capital Projects team
• Proactive involvement in ensuring appropriate construction and commissioning processes and strategies are in place
• Ensure consistent productivity of the project by ensuring schedule milestones are achieved
• Ensure budget, cost control and schedule targets are met
• Coordinate, plan and schedule the ongoing construction and commissioning
• Ensure efficient utilisation of construction equipment and resources
• Maintain schedules updates and adherence
• Maintain daily progress reports
• Assist other members of the Capital Projects department
• Ensure the stakeholders have correct and updated information to best perform their functions
• Actively seek opportunities to improve the construction progress, particularly with regard to better use of equipment and installation methodology
• Identify and communicate to appropriate personnel any issues or incidents during shift

Requisites

• Degree in engineering with experience in Trade
• Proven experience in SMP construction of medium to large scale mining
• Knowledge of construction management systems
• Excellent planning man management and organisational skills
• Computer literate
• Solid background in construction strategies within the mining and mineral processing industry
• Fluency in English
