CICV is recruiting a Supply Chain Officer, to be based in Pemba, Mozambique.
Duties
- Processes Orders /SRs according to the ICRC’s logistics and financial procedures in coordination with the Logistician
- Ensures that priorities set by the Logistician are followed
- Keeps requesters regularly informed about progress on their requests
- Records and files documents pertaining to the ordering process; registers and transmits claims and remarks from those requesting services
- Updates logistics relevant internal Logistics reports
- Contributes to supply-chain support for an assigned geographical area or specific group of products
- May act as a Statistician
Order Management / Supply Chain
- Receives, reviews and manage Supply Requests (SRs) in JDE in timely manner
- Checks SR against monthly i3 forecast before releasing to SO for stock managed items
- Follows up SRs from creation to delivery using ICRC tools, (Tableau SC dashboards and JDE order inquiry)
- Send order lines to the Warehouse for the pick & pack process when goods are available in stock
- Transfer SR upstream order lines to LON and GVA for non-stocked managed items
- Manage and review dispatch lead times for each destination regularly
- Liaise with other units within the supply chain securing finances, appropriate import-export procedures, transfer, warehousing and reporting of ordered items
In charge of Pemba Log Service task management (STM)
- Acts as primary focal point for the logistics’ STM
- Ensure received messages in STM are processed in due time
- Monitor the open tickets to be closed in due time
- Reporting: Updates the monthly internal order review reports (Upstream, downstream ..) and ensure the required actions are taken
- Channels all relevant information related to supply requests
- Staff coaching: Coaches, trains, and provide daily support for OSCAR light users within in Pemba and offices
- Follows up on all work-related messages and correspondence with the relevant contacts and departments
- Is aware of the delegation’s objectives and has a good knowledge of the Movement and other contacts relevant to the position
- Collects and shares information so as to improve the ICRC’s understanding of the environment and humanitarian trends and responses
- Represents the ICRC in an appropriate way during activities, in meetings and in the field, and avoids any activity that may reflect negatively on the ICRC’s image
- Takes responsibility for their own professional learning and development
- Provide a support to another ICRC side in the delegation when it is needed
Requisites
- Technical degree in logistics, administration or equivalent
- Good command of spoken and written English and Portuguese
- Computer literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning software an asset
- 3 years previous experience in administration or within a supply-chain or logistics department
- Good knowledge of the supply chain
