Critical Software, a software engineering company with a strong presence in the international markets and high growth profile is looking for a Mozambican Technical Manager with Project Management know-how. The candidate is to be integrated in a highly-qualified and motivated project teams working in Mozambique.
Duties
- As a Technical Manager, you will have the opportunity and autonomy to technically manage a team ensuring the balance between best technical decisions, the product quality and the overall budget and time constraints
- Beyond the technical facet, you will also be able to perform Software Project Management activities, like managing the team, the plan, perform risks analysis, ensure accomplishment of key milestones and report progress to upper management
Requisites
- Mozambican nationality
- Degree in computer science or relevant professional experience (minimum 7 years)
- Experience with remote team management is desirable
- Desirable to have specific training and certification in project management aligned with PMI
- Writing skills and language knowledge (with special relevance in English) are also strongly desirable
- Knowledge in UML and Sparx Enterprise Architect will also be an added value
- Strong experience in Java including frameworks and standards
- Knowledge of JSP, Javascript, CSS, HTML is desirable
- Very good technology skills across application software (including Object Oriented Programming and UML)
- Very good data base skills across platforms, mainly MySQL, SQL Server and Oracle
- Experienced in data model design and optimization
- Advanced experience with SQL
- Experience in Project Management
- Propensity for training and monitoring junior teams
- Knowledge in Software Quality Assurance best practices
- Knowledge in international standards (ISO9001, ISO12207, ISO15504, CMMI)
- Excellent documentation skills and mastery of the English language
- Highly motivated
- Good problem solving and good communications skills
- Strong relationship skills, work well in a team environment, task oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and quality commitment are also required competencies
- Be able to lead a medium sized team
- Committed to excellence in everything you do
- Experience in requirements analysis and software development is strongly desirable
- Experience in defining architectures and technical solutions is strongly desirable
