The US Mission is seeking Voucher Examiners, to be based in Maputo.
Duties
- Work under the very general supervision of the Supervisory Voucher Examiner
- Examine a full range of vouchers of various level of difficulty and complexity for payment of goods and services relating to USAID project activities and administrative actions, domestic and international travel vouchers, and other miscellaneous vouchers for payments
Requisites
- Mozambican nationality
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or related field is required
- Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in voucher examining, accounting, and related fiscal work is required
- Level IV fluency in written and spoken English and fluency in Portuguese language, speaking, reading and writing
- Good working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Ability to comprehend and logically and properly apply to the voucher examining process various and detailed technical program regulations
- Must have tact and ability to explain clearly and convincingly the rationale for payment suspensions and voucher rejections
- Proficiency in use of computers and office computer applications, especially Excel and Word
