Aldelia is recruiting a Well Site Engineer (m/f), to be based in Inhambane, Mozambique.
Duties
- Contribute continuously to a healthy safety culture
- Produce daily operations and well cost reports to a consistent high-quality and accuracy using specialist software (induction will be provided)
- Accountable for the monitoring and reporting on the quality of all service provider deliverables on site
- Provide well Engineering support to the Drilling Supervisor: monitor torque and drag using specialist software, perform engineering calculations e.g. well control, drill string, pipe tally, cementing (induction will be provided)
- Continuous quality control of services and equipment e.g. drift and tally pipe, witness and record pressure tests
- Supervise Formation Integrity Tests and other well site jobs directed and supported by the Drilling Supervisor
- Represent the well engineering perspective as part of the rig team to Sasol, partner and government visitors to the field
- Assist in monitoring, reporting and correcting regulatory compliance at the well site
- Interface with all other Sasol supervisors at the rig in order to ensure a coordinated plan and implementation
- Interface with service provider personnel at the well site in order to ensure delivery to specification and accurate/truthful reporting
- Contribute to (or manage if assigned) action registers and facilitate tracking till closure of all actions (e.g., Corrective Actions, Non Compliance Reports, Failure Investigation Reports, Lessons Learned)
- Collate and deliver reports as required e.g. End of Well Report
- Work towards successful completion of the Well Engineering Competence certification while off-duty (if not already in possession); this includes self-study, classroom training and exams
Requisites
- Minimum 2 years of oil and gas experience in upstream oil and gas (operator or service provider)
- Operational experience in drilling, completions, testing and work-overs highly desirable
- Engineering competence certification (e.g. Shell Round I/II or RPG WEC) highly desirable – if not already in possession enrolment to the programme is mandatory
- Well control certification (IWCF level 2 or higher) mandatory – must be in possession within 12 months from the start of the assignment
- Bachelors or more advanced degree in Engineering or Science
