SAT is recruiting a Youth SRHR Officer - Break Free ( BF) Program Mozambique (m/f), to be based in Mogovolas, Mozambique.
Description
- We seek a Youth SRHR Officer- Break Free (BF) Program Mozambique who will will liaise extensively with youth organizations and work with the Hub and SAT office in giving youth-consulted and data-driven inputs to SAT work and to youth mobilization
Duties
- Support the collection, analysis and use of data in country, particularly as relating to BF. Support the development of advocacy and dissemination of messaging and strategies for the country and regional BF program
- Participate in the implementation of SAT BF program in country and Southern Africa region
- Work to increase BF’s advocacy links and connections and influence with youth and other civil society organizations working in SRHR
- Provide support to the regional BF Advocacy Team
- Compile and prepare and implement youth hub work plans (including advocacy and training plans) for the country and consortium youth hubs
- Support the development of innovations that increase adolescent access to health
- Search for other innovations increasing adolescent access, compile, review and recommend them to BF, Work with SAT staff, BF Team, partners, Youth Hub members and other youth to implement innovations.
- Represent BF in various forum in country and regionally to advance BF agenda
- Manage country social media, website related and other communication activities
- Take the lead in the country YouthWyze face book page growth and development
- Participate in the growth and development of all YouthWyze pages in the consortium countries
- Contribute on a regular schedule to regional social media, website related and other communication activities as per the SOP and grow BF’s online reach in country
- Lead Youth Hub activities to deliver advocacy against agreed BF plans
Requisites
- The ideal candidate must have:
- Post-Secondary School Certificate/Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in relevant field
- Advanced Degree in Social Sciences or Communications will be an advantage
- Must be bilingual English and Portuguese
- Basic understanding of SRHR issues (policies, research)
- Good Computer Skills
- Good writing skills
- Social Media skills
- Must be able to work independently, efficiently and be deadline driven
- Must be between the ages of (18-25)
