• 15 years working in programme delivery and design in an international development context almost exclusively in developing countries; • Institutional support: Provided technical Assistance to a) the NAO of Mozambique (2.5 years), b) different Fisheries Administration in the SADC-IO region including Mauritius, Seychelles and Comoros(4 years); c) Marracuene District (Maputo, Mozambique) for the implementation of the District government Master Plan on sustainable management of environment and natural resources management sectors (2 years) ; currently providing institutional support to the National Agency for Conservation Areas in managing natural resources in Mozambique. • 10 years of leading, coordinating and supervising national and regional teams of up to 15 people • 4 years’ experience as Regional Manager for SADC countries under the EDF9 funded ACP Fish II Programme including: developing and delivering regional strategy; managing programme estimates; identifying beneficiaries’ needs and formulating programmes. • Sectoral experience in community based management of marine resources (Mozambique); fisheries (SADC region) • 7 years’ experience as team leader/ regional manager on EDF-funded projects including as imprest administrator • In depth experience in EU Project Cycle Management (PCM) including preparing and launching tenders and calls for proposals • Knowledge of socio-economic context in ESA-IO region: Working closely with project beneficiaries to assess and identify needs (see for example MozBio & ACP Fish II) including in Comoros, Mauritius and Seychelles. • Working with local communities in Mozambique to plan and manage the use of marine resources • Strong communication skills: Fluency in English, French and Portuguese
