Since I have worked for International Development Organizations, Public and Private sectors, I know how to successfully bridge and connect these worlds, especially in Mozambique. I am team leader with an innovative mindset, and a strong conceptual thinker that embraces challenges with an analytical and creative approach.I am also competent in research design, and I participated in the development and implementation of numerous baseline and evaluation surveys.

Coordinate a multi-partner and multidisciplinary program with focus on Agriculture; Sustainable Livelihoods; Nutrition; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); Natural Resources Management; Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation; Education and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) initiatives- (Donor – Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Mozambique (EKN) and Cartier Philanthropy (CP); Budget – EUR 20.9 million; 2022-2027) Tasks and Responsibilities • Provide strategic guidance, leadership, management, and general technical oversight to an implementation team of 10 Senior Managers and 20 Middle Managers. • Ensure that program objectives, outcomes, and deliverables are met on time and within budget and that financial, operational, and reporting requirements of EKN, CP and GNP are adhered to. • Serve as the second liaison with EKN, CP, the Government of Mozambique, all counterparts, implementing partners, and stakeholders involved in the program. • Acting as spokesperson for the program and presenting its work regionally/globally • Recruit, lead, manage, and supervise delivery teams comprising long- and short-term team members and consortium partners. • Ensure monitoring and evaluation of the program is of high quality and that reports are submitted on time. • Promote adaptive management, identifying issues and risks related to implementation, and suggesting appropriate program adjustments in a timely manner. • Manage budget and monitor program expenditures and manage budget variances, realigning as required. • Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of gender and youth inclusion plan.
Supported Results-based management and evaluations of international organizations: External quality assurance of evaluation reports, qualitative and quantitative analysis -meta syntheses and final evaluations. Achievements • Participated in the External Quality Assessment for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) County Program Evaluations for Haiti, Tanzania, Jordan, Sri-Lanka and Pakistan. • Contributed to the elaboration of Meta synthesis report for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) 2019-2021 using NVivo.
Oversaw program design, technical performance, and management of $35 million agricultural programs and inclusive and regenerative livelihoods. Provided technical leadership to a team of 60 members, including 6 Middle Managers and 14 Supervisors. Achievements • Co-led the design, implementation, monitoring and controlling of the agricultural component for a $ 30.3 M USAID Global Development Alliance (GDA) “Resilient Gorongosa” to increase sustainable and resilient nature-based economic growth in the greater Gorongosa Landscape in Sofala Province, Mozambique. • Co-led the proposal development, implementation, monitoring and controlling for a $ 5 M CANADA Program “Peace through Economic Action and Community Empowerment” (PEACE) to improve the living conditions of 5,000 people and to create an environment of peace, harmony and inclusive governance in communities bordering GNP. • Led the proposal development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation for a $8 M Norway funded project to improve smallholder’s resilience to climate change through integrated interventions anchored on climate smart agriculture, markets, rural entrepreneurship, women empowerment, financial inclusion, risk mitigation (insurance), fisheries and livestock. • Led the design and management of the agriculture component of a $ 500 K Integrated Post-Cyclone IDAI Recovery Project funded by USAID-Mozambique/BHA that provided seeds and clean water to 10,000 Households.
Coordinated Farmers engagement; Agribusiness trainings for coffee, honey and cashew value chain teams and beneficiaries; markets linkages and Micro-Enterprise development. Achievements • Supported the preparation of business models, industry development plans and investment proposals for coffee, cashew, and honey value chains. • Led the preparation and delivery of training modules in value chain development and business management for coffee, honey, and cashew value chains engaging 10,000 smallholder farmers. • Developed a pilot project to establish a network of 100 Agricultural Micro-entrepreneurs in the buffer zone of GNP to improve 10,000 smallholder farmers’ access to inputs and outputs. • Co-led the development and implementation of a Post-cyclone IDAI Baseline Study involving 5000 households from communities around GNP.
Co-led the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the “Improving Cotton Production Efficiency in Small-scale farming systems in East Africa (Kenya and Mozambique) through better Integration of the Supply chain” Project (Donor – European Union; Budget-$ 1.4 million dollars; 2013-2015) Achievements: • Coordinated the planning and organization of technical and cotton price negotiations meetings. • Led the planning and implementation of Cotton national supervision missions. • Supported the National Cotton Producers Forum ( FONPA) in the elaboration of projects and in the identification of partners for implementation. • Participated in the development of Cotton value chain revitalization plan and in the study for the establishment of the cotton price stabilization mechanism.
Supported the establishment and operationalization of the Inclusive Business Council, a national platform for the promotion of inclusive business founded by SNV, CPI, IPEME, CTA, SOICO Group and Private Sector Companies (Donor-Ford Foundation; Budget - $500 K dollars). Achievements • Provided technical assistance to OLAM Mozambique, Mozambique Honey Company, and Elephant Pepper to develop inclusive business models. • Led the selection process of the 100 best inclusive Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in 2013. • Prepared terms of reference and participated in studies related to inclusive business in Mozambique; • Prepared and organized technical meetings and workshops on inclusive business
