
Dr. Hamilton António Mutemba is a public health specialist and medical doctor with eleven years of experience, including eigth years of experience with HIV/TB program, strategic information and monitoring and evaluation (M&E). Currently, he serves as the Director of Strategic Information (SI) with ICAP in Mozambique, where he facilitates and provides leadership to ensure the effective development and implementation of all project workplan, HIS and M&E plans. He also provides technical direction to all projects on SI issues, conducts training and capacity building activities, and oversees the SI team. Previously, Dr. Mutemba served as the SI Manager with Maputo Friends in Global Health (FGH) in Mozambique, where he supported the director in the coordination of the organization’s monitoring assessments and information systems, participated in technical meetings, and the recruitment and training of SI staff. He was with FGH for six years in various positions focused on M&E, Health Information System (HIS), and quality improvement (QI). Dr. Mutemba also has experience with child trafficking and violence against children, and as a medical doctor. He holds a Master of Public Health and is proficient in Portuguese and English.
