
Educated at the Universities of Madrid and Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and fluent in English and Portuguese. Mozambican and Spanish national. I have served over twenty-five years in the health and governance sectors in Mozambique, working for international and local institutions and agencies: UNOPS, UNDP, CHAI, Friends in Global Health LLC, I-TECH Mozambique, APOPO vzw, and the Fundação Aurum. In the governance area, I directed the implementation of a multilateral project to support the Mozambique Police led by UNDP. Afterwards, my professional career in Mozambique has been focused on the health sector, specifically on Tuberculosis and HIV. In the last years, I also worked on COVID-19. I have had clinical, programmatic and managerial responsibilities on public health projects funded by PEPFAR, USAID, Unitaid, and several bilateral donors.
