Resumo

Ernesto Chamo(50) is Mozambican with 20 years of experiences in management of gender programs in NGOs, Government and with/for UN agencies. He started his career (2001) in the Ministry of Women where he supported the draft of first Gender National Policy and Implementation Strategy and later became Head of Department of Gender (2005) with responsibilities of supporting gender mainstreaming in Government agencies, capacity building of Women Rights Organizations and liaison with bilateral and multilateral partners and UN agencies. From 2010-2014 he collaborated with different UN agencies including ILO and UN Women and in subsequent years in International NGOs both in development and humanitarian. In 2020 he worked as Manager in Post Idai Reconstruction Project with Plan International and in 2021 as Consultant to UNFPA in Gender Based Violence . Mr. Chamo has honors degree in International Relations and Master of Arts in Governance and Policy Making
