Resumo

I have 10+ years of experience in the development, administration, design, and management of USAID and AICS funded grants. I am experienced with extensive set in Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation and Emergency Response, including the overall coordination of national teams in several provinces of Mozambique, providing strategic advice to governments and implementing positive change with local communities and institutions. I currently work at Save the Children team in Mozambique as Project Manager in a Disaster Risk Reduction and Disability Project, in an institution with a strong presence in building the resilience of the most vulnerable groups, especially children, youth and women. With a focus on policy development and advocacy, community planning and institutional strengthening. Additionally, I have over 3 years of experience having acted as a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)/Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Coordinator for a USAID/BHA funded project in Xai-Xai, Gaza. In the implementation of DRR and climate resilience activities and coordination with local authorities and facilitates the capacity strengthening of local DRR committees, agricultural associations, smallholder farmers and community members on early warning systems and DRR measures. I am a member of the national drought technical group and hold an Honor’s Degree in Public Administration and a master's degree in social Anthropology. I have excellent representational and communication skills, written and oral proficiency in English and Portuguese and is a native Makhuwa and Changana. On my work portfolio, I took part in UNFCC and other working groups on Climate Change and Disaster Management in Mozambique, Germany, Republic of Kenya, Republic of Uganda, Republic of France, Republic of Malawi, Nepal, Botswana, South Africa and attended GHG professional courses in Republic of South Korea.
