Responsibilities • Countries representative; • To develop of management plans and procedures for the project stages; • To Prepare implementation plans and programs during project development and progress; • To Provide direct support to partner organizations in Mozambique and East Africa in monitoring and management, identifying key capacity gaps and partner needs for technical support, and developing and reviewing work plans • To Coordinate the monitoring plans and smartphone data collection systems using, and adapting existing toolkits and methods to local contexts • To Support the growth and development of a ‘community of practice’ around locally-led management and projects improvement • Evaluating and documenting key learning, best practices and relevant community/country information, including broader contextual learning around management experiences. • To support the intervention in Livelihoods and healthy environment program (WASH project). Main achievements: • Supported the establishment of a branch in Pemba and facilitated the renewal of the organization’s registration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation; • Established partnerships with Oikos Cooperação e Desenvolvimento and Love the Oceans; • Created three Local Marine Managed Areas (LMMAs) in Ilha de Moçambique and Mossuril; • Facilitated the formation of three new fisheries community councils (CCPs) in Mossuril. • Supported the legalization of six CCPs in Ilha de Moçambique (3) and Mossuril (3). • Trained and supported local CCPs in LMMA management, including legal requirements, skills development, and resources. • Organized a learning exchange for over 60 CCP members from Nampula district. • Coordinated two stakeholder meetings in Nampula province (2022 and 2023). • Led technical scoping for potential new partners. • Developed strategies for CCP sustainability, including income generation activities and funding
