Resumo
Marlene Muzezela is a professional with 10 years of work experience in different areas of expertise, in both national and international non-governmental organizations such as iDE – International Development Enterprises, FHI360 – Family Health International, CMA – Comunidade Moçambicana de Ajuda, Coffey International and CTA – Confederação das Associações Económicas de Moçambique. Marlene has collaborated in multiple roles for projects related to Nutrition and HIV, Finance Inclusion, Women and Gender Entrepreneurship and Business Environment Enabling, funded by different donors such as USAID, DANIDA, ECLT Foundation, Exxon Mobil Corporation, Sweden, Swiss and Norway Embassies, and Opportunity International. Marlene is passionate about fostering socioeconomic development in rural areas, through business environment enabling advocacy, finance education training, crowdfunding management for agribusiness and affordable smart technologies for smaller farmers. Since September 2018, Marlene has been collaborating with iDE Mozambique- International Development Enterprises, an international NGO with HQ in Denver, Colorado, USA, promoting the access to finance trough KIVA Funds, in the rural areas of Maputo, Manica, Sofala, Tete and Nampula provinces, enabling local entrepreneurs to invest in their business contributing to the improvement of their household’s well-being in order to end poverty. Managing the Kiva Portfolio of iDE Mozambique, Marlene has contributed for the access of finance of over 700 borrowers, among individual and group loans, with focus on women in rural areas. Marlene played a relevant role between iDE Mozambique and Kiva Partners/Investment Team which allowed the grow of the overall credit limit from $180,000, in 2018, up to $700,000 in 2022. Marlene also has good interpersonal communications skills, as she’s represented iDE Mozambique in numerous sessions of meetings and workshops hosted by different stakeholders.
