• Promotes a safe work environment • Ensures compliance to the Kenmare Health, Safety and Environment Management manual and relevant legislation. • Ensures the operation can attain highest accreditation ratings • Ensures compliance to environmental licensing & permitting requirements. • Ensures incident forms are followed up on, completed and investigated. • Ensures that the accident/incident frequency is less than the set standard. Achieve set production / maintenance targets according to the Life of Mine (LOM) plan by: • Executing the 36-hour production plan, consistent with the requirements of the 14-day production plan • Identifying continuous improvement initiatives and opportunities in all areas of the mining operations • Developing cost effective solutions to these initiatives • Ensuring production loss is kept to the minimum • Ensuring equipment failure is kept to the minimum • Carrying out regular inspections and note findings. • Ensuring manufacturer’s specifications are adhered to, to prolong the working life of the equipment • Ensuring maintenance personnel are appropriately consulted and informed • Ensuring breakdowns are rectified cost-effectively and in the shortest possible time. • Ensuring repairs are carried out according to work instructions and safety requirements / procedures. • Ensuring all repairs are carried out by authorized personnel only. • Ensuring maintenance is done without damage to or interference with other parts or systems. • Ensuring quality of information on equipment condition • Ensuring contingency plans are put into operation to maintain production and follow-up to rectify problems permanently • Ensuring production shut down co-ordination i.r.o spares, cleaning, continuity Develop High Performance Teams • Ensures problems are resolved within appropriate levels of accountability and responsibility for individuals and teams • Encourages members to be
