
Joana has a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and a degree in Anthropology from Eduardo Mondlane University, a post-graduate degree in Public Health and professional experience in the area of Gender, Prevention and Mitigation of Gender-Based Violence, Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV, Community Involvement and experience in implementing activities in emergency contexts. She has experience in capacity building of staff (governmental and non-governmental institutions, community-based organizations, community leaders) on gender, sexual and reproductive health, human rights, women's empowerment, HIV, protection of women and children victims of gender-based violence, male involvement in health care, as well as prevention and mitigation of gender-based violence.
