My professional experience as an auditor has equipped me with necessary qualities for managing working teams and various clients, assigning tasks to younger colleagues (people development) and attending to all issues related to compliance with auditing principles, in particular with regards to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In addition to my IFRS knowledge, I am familiar with the Mozambican accounting system, the Plano Geral de Contabilidade (PGC) which also abides to the IFRS principles. I have a broad understanding of the nature of business of companies in various sectors and their accounting specificity. Over the course of my career, my goal has been (1) to achieving collective success to meet the company's strategic goals, (2) to build strong and competent working teams and (3) to contribute to a good working environment. I am always keen on learning, reason why I keep on investing in my education in accounting and audit (currently doing my masters). With the knowledge that I have acquired as an auditor as well as with my interpersonal skills, I am able to maintain my integrity in performing my duties to ensure that the financial picture of the company's accounts are fair and accurate. My duties as an auditor involve the compliance of the established norms of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in conjunction with the Mozambican chart of accounts "Plano Geral de Contabilidade (PGC) which abides to the IFRS. I do field work with my team of colleagues which include junior staff as well as fellow seniors whereby we supervise the work for purposes of review from management and audit partners. My work duties are deadline driven and therefore, I am quite experienced in working under pressure for long hours. I am an open-minded individual willing to explore new areas and fields of work.
