I am a Journalist, Sociologist and now doing MA in Disaster Risk Reduction. As the Secretary General of Mozambique Red Cross I was at the forefront working with other stake holders in the relieve operations in Central Province of Sofala during the Idai Cyclone and in the North of Mozambique after Cyclone Kenneth. I worked closely with the Africa Regional Delegation in Nairobi, Kenya of Croce Rossa Italiana, preparing the deployment of Mr, Lorenzo Massucchielli, Senior Emergency Planning and Response Officer, as a member of IFRC FACT team in Sofala Province. Alto I can mention that I worked with Mrs. Maria Paola Pannacciulli, then the Africa Regional Delegation in Nairobi, to open the Delegation of Croce Rossa Italiana, which is now operational in Maputo, Mozambique. I also worked closely with the Agência Italiana de Cooperação para o Desenvolvimento in Mozambique. Previously I worked with Allisei as Co-coordinator advocacy campaigns on democratic culture, human rights and freedom of expression in Mozambique My experience also includes management of assets, representing the organization and I served as the link between the organization and its donors, partners and stakeholders including the government of Mozambique. Besides working for MISA (Media Institute of Southern Africa, Mozambique Chapter) I also worked as the regional Communications Officer of SEACAM (Secretariat of East Africa Coastal Area Management) what exposed me to the economic, socio and political situation of the member states. I have strong experience in working with Board of Directors and in organizing logistics for workshops, trainings, field trips, internal and external bookings and good experience in writing narrative, financial reports respecting strictly the deadlines and served as the Secretary of the Board in some of the institutions mentioned above.
